Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the PSD, announced the convening of the National Political Council (CPN) for next Sunday, where the social democrats will decide the party's position regarding the state budget project. This decision comes against the backdrop of increased tensions in the governing Coalition, generated by negotiations regarding budget allocations and the PSD's dissatisfaction with the funds intended to support vulnerable individuals. Grindeanu emphasized that the PSD will express its viewpoint on the budget before the amendments are submitted in Parliament, expecting the project to be sent this week. Additionally, the tensions within the Coalition are heightened by the lack of funds requested by the PSD for financial aid, and the party leadership has discussed options such as leaving the government or replacing Ilie Bolojan. The Prime Minister has also convened the Liberals for discussions before the budget vote, and a new Coalition meeting is scheduled for the same day.
