The governing coalition decided to redistribute the prefectures, with PSD ceding three of them, including Bucharest, to USR. Following the negotiations, PSD retained more prefects, while USR obtained 13 positions of state secretary in key ministries, such as Justice and Finance. This redistribution allows USR to strengthen its influence in areas where it has mayors, such as Timișoara and Bacău, and to become more active in governance.
