The Social Democratic Party has decided not to attend the next meeting of the governing coalition, citing the USR's attitude towards Ion Iliescu, which it considers disrespectful and inhuman. PSD criticizes the USR's attempt to block the state funeral and not to declare national mourning for the former president, stressing that this position affects the cohesion of the alliance. USR President Dominic Fritz confirmed that his party will not attend the funeral, arguing that respect should be paid to the victims of the Revolution and the mineriad.
