Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan received the U.S. ambassador, Darryl Nirenberg, discussing security and economic cooperation, including the sending of American military equipment to Romania.

Ilie Bolojan welcomed the new ambassador of the United States, Darryl Nirenberg, at the Victoria Palace, where he emphasized the importance of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the USA. The Prime Minister presented the CSAT decision regarding the temporary deployment of defensive equipment and American military forces in Romania, highlighting the strategic role of the country in ensuring national security.

He mentioned the Government's priorities, including maintaining political stability, adopting a responsible budget, and strengthening the economy. Additionally, the Prime Minister and the ambassador agreed to meet again in April to discuss common economic projects, focusing on cooperation opportunities in the fields of energy, emerging technologies, and critical minerals. Other officials from the Government also participated in the meeting.
