The interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan received the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, on Wednesday. During the meeting, Bolojan emphasized Norway's significant contribution to the security of the Eastern Flank and the Black Sea region, as well as cooperation within NATO.
The Prime Minister welcomed the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding for the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (2021-2028), which will allocate approximately 600 million euros for the development of local communities in Romania.
Additionally, Bolojan highlighted the increase in trade exchanges between Romania and Norway, estimating that they will exceed one billion euros by 2025, and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in various fields.
