Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan reacted to the situation of the head of SPP, Lucian Pahonțu, emphasizing the need to clarify the events of 1989.

The Prime Minister said, in an interview for Cotidianul, that it is necessary to clarify what happened in 1989, and that "every person is responsible for what they do." The evaluation of the Security and Protection Service is within the competence of the Presidential Administration, specified Ilie Bolojan. Bolojan also appreciated that, to avoid discussions related to influence, mechanisms to limit these mandates should be established, and he will support such an initiative.

"The evaluation must be done administratively by the authority that has competence over this service, which is the Presidential Administration, not the Government, and of course, to be able to issue judgments, you need to have unequivocal data in such situations. However, apart from what has appeared in the public space, I have no other data. Thus, I make a few comments. First of all, I believe that every person is responsible for what they do. And from this point of view, the more it is clarified what happened in '89, what kind of involvement there was or was not, the clearer things are from this perspective, so that there is unequivocal data," Bolojan stated for Cotidianul.
