"Until the end of this week, we will make a decision regarding how the two draft laws will be passed through Parliament. There is the possibility of assuming responsibility or adopting them through emergency ordinance," said Ilie Bolojan for RFI Romania.

These projects are essential for preparing the budget for 2026, considering the Government's objective to reduce the deficit to 6.2 - 6.3% of GDP. Bolojan mentioned that there are advantages and disadvantages regarding the two mentioned methods of adoption: "Adoption through emergency ordinance, if possible, allows the legislation to appear in a very short time, but there is a risk of subsequent modification in Parliament. The part of assuming responsibility avoids, let's say, the risk of subsequent modification, but it is a procedure that can take two to three weeks, including a possible challenge at the Constitutional Court."

In the end, Bolojan promised that two distinct projects will be supported, regarding both the reduction of expenses in administration and economic measures to support companies.
