First Vice President of PNL, Dan Motreanu, reiterated on Tuesday morning, after the expiration of the ultimatum given by PNL to Adrian Veștea to submit his mandate, that the party will not support in Parliament a government led by him and again requested the liberal to submit his mandate as designated prime minister.

"We will not vote for the investiture of Adrian Veștea as prime minister, because it is a decision made in violation of the spirit of parliamentary democracy, outside of PNL, without consulting PNL," Motreanu emphasized on Facebook.

The liberal leader emphasized that PNL parliamentarians will be present at the investiture meeting, but will not vote for the Executive proposed by Veștea. He also warned that any party member who accepts positions in such a government without the leadership's agreement risks political sanctions.

Motreanu's message comes against the backdrop of tensions within PNL, after Adrian Veștea announced that he does not intend to give up his mandate and that he will continue the procedures for forming a government, despite the opposition expressed by the party's leadership.
