The draft law initiated by Raluca Turcan and supported by USR MPs aims to abolish the 6-month compensatory allowance for CCR judges, who remain exempt from the ban on compensatory payments in the public sector. Turcan argues that judges already benefit from generous pensions and that these additional payments are a significant expense without economic justification in the context of the budget deficit. The bill has been tabled in the Senate and will be submitted to the Chamber of Deputies for approval under the ordinary procedure.
