Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, announced that PNL will appoint interim ministers from among the members of the Cabinet to manage the current political crisis. He emphasized that there are no chances of reconciliation with PSD, considering their recent gestures.

Abrudean believes that a minority government is the most viable solution at present, but mentioned that, in the next 45 days, efforts will be made to propose ministers for validation in Parliament. He also rejected the idea that PNL parliamentarians would vote for a motion of censure against their own party president.

PNL supports Ilie Bolojan as prime minister and does not believe that PSD will return to the coalition, even if the prime minister were to change. Abrudean emphasized the importance of finding a majority to support the reforms in the PNRR and opened the possibility of discussions with PSD parliamentarians to ensure these reforms, without involving a formal agreement with AUR.
