PNL and USR parliamentarians have submitted an amendment to impose on dignitaries and public officials the obligation to submit financial interest declarations.

PNL parliamentarians, in collaboration with those from USR, have initiated an amendment to the integrity law project, which stipulates the obligation to submit a financial interest declaration for all dignitaries and persons with public authority functions, including the President of Romania and the Prime Minister. According to the PNL statement, these declarations will be public within a maximum of 60 days from their generation by the National Integrity Agency, through the e-DAI platform.

PNL emphasizes the importance of transparency and public integrity, urging all parliamentarians to support this initiative in the extraordinary session. Additionally, the Parliament is also discussing a legislative proposal to strengthen normative acts in the field of integrity, initiated by Cătălin Predoiu, which is set to be adopted by the Chamber of Deputies and then sent to the Senate for approval.
