President Nicușor Dan stated on Tuesday, during a press conference in Paris, that the project of the new unitary salary law has been sent to the PSD and appreciates that there are still chances for it to be adopted by the deadline set in the PNRR, although he acknowledges that it is a complex project, on which the parties have different positions.
Nicușor Dan declared that the project of the unitary salary law has reached the PSD and that it is natural for the parties to have different visions on a normative act with a major impact on employees in the public sector. The head of state said that he will monitor the evolution of the discussions and that he is willing to intervene as a mediator if necessary.
Asked whether the law can still be adopted by the deadline of August 31, assumed through the PNRR, the president expressed moderate optimism, appreciating that "there are still chances".
The statements come in the context in which PSD announced that it will not support in its current form the projects necessary for meeting the milestones in the PNRR.
