President Nicuşor Dan stated on Wednesday evening that he cannot make estimates regarding the announcement by the Standard & Poor's rating agency, expected Friday evening, but Romania's financial figures are much better than they were one year and six months ago.
Asked what assessment he expects from the Standard & Poor's agency, Nicuşor Dan stated on Wednesday evening: "I do not want to anticipate an assessment by a third party myself, but, both for the citizens of Romania and for financial institutions, especially those that have lent money to Romania, I want to repeat a few things. Romania's financial figures are much better than they were one year and six months ago, and this is statistics; it is not a subjective matter."
The head of state reiterated the idea that, on important issues, there is consensus within the Romanian political class.
