Nicușor Dan, about the possible renomination of Bolojan as prime minister: "I don't want to experiment"

Nicușor Dan, the president of Romania, reaffirmed that, regardless of the configuration of the future Government, Romania will continue to have a pro-Western direction, maintaining strategic partnerships with the European Union and the USA. He excluded the scenario of early elections, stating that the interim of the current government could last more than 45 days.

Asked if he would appoint Ilie Bolojan as prime minister again, Dan stated that he does not wish to experiment, but to approve a government that has the necessary support in Parliament. He emphasized that internal political discussions are important, but they should not raise doubts about Romania's strategic direction.

Nicușor Dan will summon the parties for official negotiations on Thursday or Monday, considering options for a technocratic prime minister, but without advancing them until a majority is formed.
