President Nicușor Dan announced that he will appoint university professor Sorin Costreie as presidential advisor on education, acknowledging that he has delayed this decision. Costreie, who teaches at the University of Bucharest, will immediately contact the unions and the Ministry of Education to obtain relevant data about the situation in the field. He will request information such as the number of teachers who do not teach the corresponding subject or the reduction in the number of teaching staff who are paid hourly. The goal is to have an informed discussion based on concrete data to assess the state of education in Romania.
