Sources: Nicușor Dan, dissatisfied with PSD after the blocking of essential laws for PNRR

President Nicușor Dan is dissatisfied with the PSD's blockage in adopting several essential laws for attracting European funds provided in the PNRR, according to political sources.

This situation could affect his credibility both in front of the European Union and domestically, given the assurances he received from the PSD that the party would support the adoption of these laws.

Among the blocked projects are the Law on the Salaries of Public Employees, the Law on Integrity and Incompatibilities, and the amendment of the Decarbonization Law, all having a significant impact on PNRR funds. If these laws are not adopted by August 31, Romania risks losing billions of euros.

Although Nicușor Dan has previously supported the PSD, his irritation at the constant blockages could lead to a change in position towards Sorin Grindeanu's party.

The president is expected to make a new prime minister designation, having proposals from the PSD and PNL on the table, but he will act only if there is a parliamentary majority.
