President Nicușor Dan stated that the recent statements of political leaders from the governing coalition have exceeded acceptable limits and called for an institutional behavior that reflects the expectations of Romanian citizens. His comments come in the wake of a statement by the interim leader of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, who emphasized the need for a government with an "open heart."

Dan emphasized that it is essential to find a constitutional solution for the reform of magistrates' pensions, considering that there is a social injustice that needs to be addressed. He highlighted that the parties in the coalition must collaborate to meet the expectations of society and contribute to overcoming the budgetary crisis. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan responded to Grindeanu's critics, reaffirming that he will not accept agreements that offer privileges.
