<p>Nicolae Ciucă said that he held talks with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer on Romania's accession to the Schengen Area and securing land borders. He emphasized that, in the context of the decrease in migration to Austria, technical discussions were held between the interior ministers and border institutions of Austria, Romania and Bulgaria. He also added that we are "hopeful that we will have a final decision" on Romania's accession to Schengen.
