Liberal MEP Siegfried Mureșan criticized the PSD, stating that the party has a long history of publishing polls that do not reflect reality. Mureșan commented on a recent poll commissioned by the PSD, which shows only a 4% lead for the PSD over the PNL, suggesting that, in reality, the PSD would have much lower percentages.

He recalled a similar incident from the past, when a poll published two days before the Bucharest mayoral elections predicted victory for the PSD candidate, Daniel Băluță, while Ciprian Ciucu from the PNL ultimately achieved a much better result.

Mureșan emphasized that the PSD may delude itself, but it will not succeed in deceiving the electorate. A recent poll conducted by IRES, commissioned by the PSD, shows that eight out of ten Romanians believe that the country is heading in the wrong direction, and AUR would win the parliamentary elections if they were held next Sunday.
