Vice President Alexandru Muraru accused, during the meeting of the National Permanent Bureau of PNL, the Cotroceni Palace of supporting a "deeply fascist" message, which suggests that all political parties are similar and that none can govern.
Muraru stated that the purpose of these declarations is to destabilize PNL and to detach it from its right-wing electorate, transferring the political capital of Romanian liberalism to a new presidential party.
He emphasized that this message, which is circulating more aggressively in the public space, is cultivated to convince citizens that parties are a source of evil and that the solution is a providential leader who should govern without opposition. Muraru warned that such ideas are useful to those who wish to lead without democratic control.
