Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, stated that the initiative of President Nicușor Dan to organize a referendum among magistrates is correct, but requires procedural clarifications from the head of state. Abrudean mentioned that, although he is not an expert in the field, it is important for discussions about justice to take place. He added that the Government is working on amending the legislation in the field through a working group, which will involve relevant professionals. Abrudean stated that they could be complementary, considering the importance of the subject in the public space. Nicușor Dan announced that the referendum will have a specific question related to the actions of the CSM. Additionally, the Prime Minister has established a Committee for analyzing legislation in the field of justice, which will include representatives from the Prime Minister's Chancellery and the Ministry of Justice.
