President Nicușor Dan meets with the leaders of the governing coalition to discuss the administration reform and the state budget.

President Nicușor Dan will have a meeting on Tuesday at the Cotroceni Palace with the leaders of the governing coalition, including Ilie Bolojan, Sorin Grindeanu, Dominic Fritz, and Kelemen Hunor. This meeting comes after repeated attacks from the PSD against Prime Minister Bolojan, who has implemented measures to reduce the record budget deficit left by the former government led by Marcel Ciolacu.

On Monday, the coalition leaders agreed to adopt the reform of local and central administration through an emergency ordinance, along with support measures for companies. Bolojan emphasized that the adoption of the state budget depends on this reform, which should reduce public sector salary expenses by 10%. Nicușor Dan warned that he will not promulgate the budget law if the provisions voted at the local referendum in Bucharest, which call for increased funding for the General City Hall, are not included.
