The mayor of Botoșani, Cosmin Andrei, was placed under judicial control for 60 days, accused of having given the list of subjects to a candidate registered for a job vacancy organized by the City Hall. Searches were also carried out at the municipality's Directorate of Taxes and Fees. On August 26, 2021, the person in question would have passed the competition and filled the post.
