Daniel Băluță, the mayor of Sector 4 and candidate for the position of General Mayor, warned that the consolidation works of the pavement at Piața Unirii risk delays due to outstanding payments from the "Anghel Saligny" program. Out of a total amount of 150 million lei, only 10 million have been paid so far, mostly for design.

Băluță requested the government led by Ilie Bolojan to make the outstanding payments to avoid halting the construction site. Although he confirmed that there is a "warning signal" from the contractor, the mayor emphasized that he does not feel sabotaged by the government and advocated for cooperation. He hopes that the prime minister will intervene quickly to ensure the continuation of the works.
