Daniel Băluță, the mayor of sector 4 and leader of PSD Bucharest, announced the initiation of a draft resolution in the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest, which will allow tenant associations not to pay for hot water and thermal agent delivered below contractual parameters. Băluță emphasized that thousands of apartment buildings receive hot water at inadequate temperatures, affecting the comfort of citizens. The project aims to hold Termoenergetica and ELCEN accountable, which must resolve the issues of heat delivery. Additionally, Băluță proposed modifying the heating subsidy policy so that it is adapted to the beneficiaries' incomes, considering that many pensioners and low-income individuals face difficulties in paying their bills.
