Marcel Boloș, former Minister of Finance, stated that he warned Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu at least six times about the deterioration of the budget deficit, but he reacted with indifference. Boloș regretted not having resigned, mentioning that he tried to do so three times. In this context, former Minister Adrian Câciu highlighted the economic difficulties from 2020 to 2024 and discussed the challenges of financial decisions. Romania's deficit has significantly increased, reaching 9.3% in 2024, exceeding the target of 3%.
