The President of the Buzău County Council, Marcel Ciolacu, launched vehement criticisms against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare, accusing them of misrepresenting the budget situation and the impact of inflation.
Ciolacu claims that the Executive is lying to Romanians, stating that there are no funds for the solidarity package proposed by the PSD, while accepting the increase in fuel prices, which could bring considerable additional revenues to the budget. He argues that each percentage point increase in inflation would generate significant tax revenues, suggesting that the Government could provide direct aid to vulnerable populations without intervening in the market through price caps. In the end, Ciolacu criticized Bolojan's lack of empathy, suggesting that he does not understand the needs of the citizens.
