Designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu begins consultations on Thursday with the parliamentary parties to form the future Government and establish the governing program. The first meetings will take place at the headquarters of the PSD, PNL, and UDMR, where the designated prime minister will meet with delegations from the parties, with any meetings with the other parliamentary parties to be scheduled later.
Schedule of meetings with the parties:
11:00 - Social Democratic Party (PSD)
14:00 - National Liberal Party (PNL)
15:30 - Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR)
The consultations represent the first official stage of the political negotiations regarding the structure of the Executive, the priorities of the new governing program, and the parliamentary support necessary for the Government's investiture.
After the consultations are completed and the government team is outlined, the designated prime minister will have to present Parliament with the program and the list of ministers for the investiture vote. He has ten days to prepare the governing program and the list of ministers.
