Lawyer Silvia Uscov publicly announced her resignation from the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), explaining that she no longer shares the values of the political formation.
In a Facebook post, Uscov mentioned that she joined the party with the intention of fighting for democracy and the defense of fundamental rights, but realized that there is no alignment of values. Although she decided to leave the party, she emphasized that she maintains respect for some exceptional members of AUR.
Previously, the lawyer criticized the idea of early elections also through a Facebook post: "There is talk of early elections, the nuclear option. It is a legitimate discussion. But before we push things in one direction or another, it deserves to be understood concretely what is at stake, not at the level of parties, but at the level of each of our wallets."
