UDMR President Kelemen Hunor said on Wednesday, ahead of the parliamentary vote on the investiture of the Government led by Siegfried Mureșan, that the current statements by political leaders indicate that the 233 votes required are lacking. He estimates that the Executive could obtain between 170 and 171 votes, to which another 10, 12, or 20 votes might be added, but he does not see where the difference could come from.
The UDMR leader specified that the parliamentary procedure will be carried through to the end, in accordance with the agreement within the coalition, even though, in his view, the chances of investiture are low.
Kelemen Hunor also commented on the hearings of the ministers proposed in the parliamentary committees. He said that he attended the meetings of the Defense and Culture committees and that the results depended on their composition and on the absence of AUR representatives in some situations.
