Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, stated that if someone from the coalition were to vote for a motion of no confidence, it would signify the dissolution of the coalition. He mentioned that the Opposition should submit a motion, considering it a necessary constitutional tool, but he does not feel that there is a desire within the coalition to provoke the government's fall. Hunor emphasized that, although there are grievances within the coalition, he is convinced that the majority will remain united.

In the context of the resignation of the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, Hunor stated that the government will continue to function and that USR will propose a new civilian minister, believing that political decisions should be made by civilians, not by military personnel. He highlighted the importance of a civilian leader who understands the system and can lead the ministry effectively.
