Kelemen Hunor, about the options considered by Nicușor Dan: A technocratic government would remain alone the next day / The first government option will pass in Parliament

The leader of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, stated on Tuesday that a technocratic government would "remain alone from the second day" and "everyone will be in opposition," while the participation of the Union in a minority government is unlikely.

Hunor stated that the participation of UDMR in a minority government is unlikely and emphasized that a technocratic government could remain without support immediately after being invested.

The UDMR leader also believes that "the first attempt will pass, because everyone wants at this moment to have a government installed at the Victoria Palace."

He reiterated that the old coalition should be restored, whether Eugen Tomac is nominated or not for the position of prime minister, and with a minimal government program focused on Romania's interests at this moment.

Hunor also said that this week the nomination of a prime minister by the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, is expected to be made.

Regarding the name circulated as a favorite for the nomination for the position of prime minister, namely Eugen Tomac, Kelemen Hunor said that "the road is long."

"So, I know Eugen Tomac very well, but from here until we say how we will vote, surely, the road is long, because we do not know, discussions have not started," said the UDMR leader.
