The leader of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, states that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, although he is a tough leader, must be open to revising the Government's decisions in the face of society's demands.

Kelemen Hunor, the leader of UDMR, stated that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan is known for his authoritarian style, but emphasizes the importance of flexibility in making governmental decisions. In a show on Digi 24, Hunor explained that, at certain moments, it is essential for the Prime Minister to revisit some previous decisions, especially when there are requests from society. He gave the example of increasing local taxes and fees, stating that when a mistake or a justified discontent is identified, it is necessary to correct that decision without affecting the budgetary balance. UDMR announced the initiation of a review of local taxes and the reintroduction of tax facilities for vulnerable individuals, including low-income pensioners, in response to citizens' discontent.

"He is tough, yes, that's how it is. That's how it worked in Oradea. That's Ilie Bologian, it's not new to anyone. At certain moments, he needs to return to certain decisions made and, if he succeeds, and I hope he will succeed, we give all the arguments and all the support for this, then in other cases it is for the good. But any person, especially a Prime Minister in a government, has this possibility and has this power to say okay, let's correct this at this moment," said UDMR leader Kelemen Hunor.
