UDMR President Kelemen Hunor said that the government program will not mention VAT increase, but the focus will be on increasing revenues. He confirmed that there will be two VAT rates, 9% and 19%. Hunor emphasized that a possible VAT increase could affect consumption and generate inflation. He also called for keeping VAT on paper at 5% to support the market. The RMDSZ leader stressed the importance of efficient VAT collection and proposed solutions to improve revenue collection.
