In a recent statement, Interior Minister Cătălin Predoiu highlighted the current challenges related to online manipulation and the importance of strengthening legislation to combat fake news. He emphasized that Romania is in a complex situation, with external enemies trying to amplify internal divisions. Predoiu noted that last year's elections had been watched with interest by international intelligence services and called for increased investment in the country's cyber security.
