Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated on Friday, at Radio Romania Actualități, that he has information about the PSD vote in the meeting on Monday, in which it will be decided whether the party will withdraw its political support. Bolojan declared that "the die has been cast" and criticized the PSD for the statements and behaviors that have led to a political crisis.
He emphasized that Romania does not need such a crisis and accused the PSD of a "double game," where agreements are reached within the government, but then contradictory statements are made in public. Bolojan mentioned that, as the leader of the PNL, he will not resign, as he believes Romania needs a stable government.
He warned that if the PSD withdraws its ministers, the governmental situation will need to be reassessed. Bolojan emphasized that his actions have disturbed certain political interests and that he will continue to fight to maintain an efficient government.
