What solutions does Ilie Bolojan propose for getting out of the crisis: "There are correct solutions in this complicated political situation. I conveyed this to the president."

The president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, stated on Sunday at Digi24 that he proposed two solutions to President Nicușor Dan to overcome the current political crisis. Bolojan emphasized that there are correct and transparent options for governing Romania in a minority system. Although he did not confirm direct discussions with the president, he mentioned that he conveyed his proposals after a meeting of the national permanent bureau. One of the solutions would involve supporting a minority PSD government through a pact for important projects, establishing clear conditions for effective collaboration. Bolojan explained that such a pact could include all parties in Parliament that wish to participate.

He added that, in the event that such a situation arises, it can be discussed about nominating a prime minister from any party, including Sorin Grindeanu, with the agreement of all parties involved. Bolojan emphasized that PNL is not responsible for the current political blockage.

"There are, in all this complicated political situation, correct, transparent solutions on the table, through which Romania can be governed in a minority-type manner. But what I said today after the meeting of the national permanent bureau, after the congress, in which I came up with some solutions to unblock things in a transparent manner that does not affect our political climate, I conveyed to the president. No, it is not the only country where this happens based on a national pact in which explicit periods are established, six months, basic conditions are established that are accepted by everyone, given our realities, given the priorities we have.

Under the conditions in which such a hypothesis arises, this pact, indeed, is a commitment of the parties, which is valid regardless of which center-left or center-right party is in power and the vote is not for a PSD government, but a vote to install things to function, if these things are respected, meaning that what needs to be done for the absorption of funds is done, the country is maintained in some good budgetary balances, the budget is prepared correctly for the next year, so that we do not have problems, so that we do not return to where we started. This means that the president of Romania can nominate a prime minister from one side or the other, PNL, USR, UDMR, as long as there is a period of six months in which to be able to exit this blockage situation," stated PNL President Ilie Bolojan directly at Digi24.
