Ilie Bolojan launched a harsh attack against the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in an interview on B1 TV, accusing the social democrats of distancing themselves from the responsibilities of governance and positioning themselves as the opposition within the coalition. Bolojan emphasized that, until last autumn,

PSD collaborated with the other parties in the coalition, but later began to criticize the measures taken, denying their involvement in the adopted decisions. He warned that this attitude has generated political instability, affecting the functioning of the governmental apparatus and creating a climate of uncertainty.

Bolojan mentioned that, in the context of the global economic crisis, an internal political crisis would be extremely damaging. He also suggested that PSD members who vote to withdraw political support for the prime minister may not be aware that they were part of the criticized decisions.
