Sorin Grindeanu, the president of PSD, announced that he encourages his colleagues to publicly declare their assets, in the context in which the Constitutional Court declared the publication of financial interest declarations unconstitutional, according to the new Integrity Law.
This law is essential for Romania, being linked to a milestone assumed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), and its non-promulgation by August 31 could lead to the loss of over 770 million euros. Grindeanu mentioned that he will not comment on the decisions of the CCR, but will convene Parliament urgently if necessary to amend the law according to the Court's decisions.
He emphasized that the unconstitutional amendment was proposed by AUR and reiterated that he also makes his asset declaration public, urging his colleagues to do the same, thus respecting the decisions of the CCR.
