The leader of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that the social democrats will not resort to transfers to increase their parliamentary group, emphasizing that the PNL, led by Ilie Bolojan, has expelled experienced liberals and brought in "newcomers" in their place.
Grindeanu asserted that the PNL has become a personalized structure, and the changes within the party reflect a questionable practice. He mentioned that the PSD has 127 parliamentarians and will not compromise its integrity by accepting members without seniority in the party in leadership positions.
In response to accusations that the PSD has received former members from POT, Grindeanu clarified that they were not directly promoted to leadership positions but were integrated into organizations to attract other parliamentarians.
