The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that he had no discussion with president Nicușor Dan at Cotroceni, contradicting the information that appeared in the public space, which he labeled as "a classic fake news." When asked about a possible meeting at the Cotroceni Palace, Grindeanu categorically dismissed the rumors, comparing them to an April Fool's joke. He mentioned that, although he had not had a recent meeting, he had frequently discussed with Nicușor Dan in recent months. Grindeanu added that he does not rule out a possible meeting in the future, emphasizing that any established discussion will be announced publicly. The information about a meeting was circulated by sources from the central press, suggesting that the discussion would have concerned the tensions within the governing coalition.
