President of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu: "Oana Gheorghiu's statements are populist. But the CSM's approach is exaggerated."

Sorin Grindeanu criticized the statements of Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu regarding special pensions, calling them "populist and irresponsible." He emphasized that, although these statements are problematic, populism is not penalized in Romania. Grindeanu added that the PSD is ready to unblock the current situation and identify institutional solutions to resolve the issue of judges' pensions. He also mentioned that it is important to access the 231 million euros from the PNRR to support this endeavor. His criticism also extends to the reaction of the Superior Council of Magistracy, which he considers exaggerated in the context of Oana Gheorghiu's statements.
