Sorin Grindeanu, the interim president of the PSD, stated that Romania could lose 200 million euros if the law on judges' pensions is not approved by November 28.

He criticized the current inequalities, mentioning that Romanians do not accept that some magistrates retire at very young ages with exorbitant pensions. Grindeanu proposed the rapid establishment of a working group made up of members of PSD, PNL, USR, and representatives of the judiciary to draft a bill. He expressed concern about the lack of dialogue between the government and the courts, emphasizing that an effective approach is essential to avoid a new legislative failure. Grindeanu insisted that it is crucial for politicians to collaborate to create fair and equitable laws, avoiding a mere competition of image.
