In a statement, the interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, announced that the coalition meeting will take place on Wednesday. He emphasized that the PSD does not support layoffs as a method of reducing expenses, considering the financial impact on the state budget. Grindeanu mentioned that there are approximately 125,000 positions occupied in local public administration and that an analysis of the positions will be proposed to optimize expenses without resorting to layoffs. He also clarified that there have been no discussions in the coalition about raising the retirement age.
