The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that the discussion about amending the justice laws is politicized, mentioning that leaders of USR have cases in court. Grindeanu emphasized that PSD has avoided this subject and that any amendment to the legislation should be proposed by professionals in the field. He criticized USR leaders who demand changes, recalling their political past and their involvement in legal scandals.
On the other hand, the president of USR, Dominic Fritz, called for a political resolution to the situation in justice, accusing the current laws of being the result of immoral arrangements between politicians and justice. Fritz emphasized that these laws were designed to weaken the fight against corruption and invited governing partners to support efforts for an independent justice. He warned that in a captured justice system, no one is safe, highlighting the need for real reform.
