The designated Prime Minister, Eugen Tomac, announced that he will present the government program to all parties, focused on priorities that derive from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
Tomac emphasized the need to move away from the logic of political discussions and to promote an open dialogue with the parties. He mentioned that the program will not include populist promises, but will focus on continuing already initiated initiatives and improving the relationship with the business environment.
Additionally, Tomac proposed the creation of a Deputy Prime Minister position for Digitalization, considering that Romania is lagging behind other European states in this area.
The designated Prime Minister expressed his desire to have a serious debate on the reform of the administration and emphasized the pro-Western commitments made by the political parties.
Tomac discussed with party leaders to gain the necessary support for the investment of the Cabinet.
