The presidential advisor Eugen Tomac stated on Thursday evening that the only solution for getting out of the current political crisis is a compromise between the parties of the former coalition, PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR, in the context in which President Nicușor Dan has summoned the party leaders for new negotiations at Cotroceni next week.
Tomac acknowledges that the tensions between the parties are justified, but emphasizes the importance of finding a compromise solution.
"I believe it is essential for the leaders of PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR to stay as long as necessary in internal discussions – they have reasons to be upset with each other – but an attempt has been made to de-escalate this situation of dispute between parties, either through... or by trying to invest a new government, but it has not succeeded. Therefore, considering the configuration of the current parliament, we have only one solution, to try the former coalition to find a reasonable compromise formula in the shortest possible time," explained Tomac on B1 TV.
He also warned about the short time for finalizing the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), emphasizing the need for a stable majority in Parliament for the adoption of the necessary laws for its implementation.
We remind that President Nicușor Dan confirmed this week that he will summon the leaders of the former governing coalition on Monday, at Cotroceni, for new negotiations and emphasized that, "at this moment", he does not feel that a solution regarding the new Government has emerged.
