Eugen Tomac, the designated prime minister, is set to submit on Sunday, to Parliament, the list of ministers and the government program.

Tomac was appointed by President Nicușor Dan on June 4 and has 10 days to obtain the confidence vote from Parliament. During this period, he has held negotiations with all political parties, including national minorities. To validate the Cabinet, Tomac needs 233 favorable votes.

PNL and USR have announced that they will not support the Government, citing a lack of clear political support.

President Nicușor Dan has made an appeal for responsibility from the political parties, emphasizing the importance of a stable government.

The parliamentary procedure will include hearings for ministers, followed by debates and a secret vote. If the Government is not validated, the President of Romania will appoint a different candidate for the position of prime minister.
