In an interview with Digi24, Elena Lasconi, former presidential candidate, harshly criticized Ionuț Moșteanu, former Minister of Defense, accusing him of causing a "great harm" to USR and demanding his resignation. Lasconi stated that Moșteanu obtained positions and extra money, having a compromised career. She also mentioned that Moșteanu has 300,000 euros in accounts and prefers to sail on a yacht, while hiding his extravagant lifestyle.

Her criticisms extended to Nicușor Dan and Ilie Bolojan, whom she called liars and traitors. Moșteanu recently resigned from his ministerial position, acknowledging an error in his CV, where he mentioned a university he did not attend. He explained that it was a mistake from 2016, but Lasconi emphasized that the issue is not only related to the CV but also to his political behavior.
