The interim Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, announced the approval of the renegotiation of the PNRR by the European Commission and emphasized that Romania must deliver the promised reforms.
Pîslaru criticized the PSD after Sorin Grindeanu stated that the party would not vote for the reforms, arguing that one cannot request European funds and, at the same time, refuse the assumed reforms.
“You cannot demand billions of euros from the European Union and, at the same time, refuse the reforms that Romania has committed to.
You cannot say that you want the PNRR, but reject the milestones in the PNRR.
You cannot applaud European money and sabotage the conditions assumed by Romania to receive it.”
He mentioned the postponement of the Unified Salary Law and accused the PSD of blocking the integrity reform in public service, shifting the discussion to individual topics. He also highlighted the blockages in urban planning reform and decarbonization, accusing the PSD of procrastination.
Pîslaru called for responsibility from the PSD, emphasizing that the PNRR is a national plan for the development of Romania, which should not be affected by the political agenda of a party.
